Flipkart needed to move beyond transactional seller acquisition and build a sustainable demand generation system that attracted high-quality marketplace partners. We designed and executed an integrated campaign that combined brand positioning, content-led demand generation, and developer engagement to drive a 3x increase in qualified pipeline within six months.
The Challenge
Flipkart's marketplace partner acquisition relied heavily on outbound sales and event-based lead capture. The pipeline was inconsistent — spiking around events and dipping between them. There was no always-on demand generation system, and brand messaging varied across channels, diluting trust with potential enterprise partners. Developer adoption of marketplace APIs was also stagnating, limiting the technical integrations needed for partner success.

We started with a Go-To-Market Strategy audit — mapping existing messaging, channel performance, and partner journey gaps. From there, we built a unified digital brand strategy with clear positioning for enterprise partners. We then designed a full-funnel content system: thought leadership for awareness, technical guides for consideration, and conversion-focused landing experiences for lead generation. Developer engagement was driven through hackathons and a curated dev community programme.
The Solution
A three-layer demand generation system: top-of-funnel brand campaigns to build market trust, mid-funnel content and community to nurture intent, and bottom-funnel performance marketing and conversion-optimised landing pages to capture and qualify leads. Developer engagement ran in parallel through hackathons and API documentation campaigns. The entire system was instrumented with analytics to track pipeline velocity from first touch to conversion.
